Almond Crumpets for Breakfast

Simply substitute flour with ground almonds to make gluten free crumpets in my SA Crumpets Recipe. Or try Oat Flour Crumpets (all found in the Recipe Index on my Blog).

Post Diwali attempt at clean eating...

Broccoli and pomegranate salad with a mint and coriander dressing inspired by @dishoom's chana chaat masala. It is featured in my favourite recipe book to date...Dishoom 'From Bombay with Love'! (The only one I've ever read from cover to cover🥰). The sights and sounds remind me of Durban's Grey Street ❤️.

Decorative Diwali Biscuits

It's that time of the year again! I love the anticipation of Diwali. Spring cleaning and baking 😍. Most of all the smell of cardamom wafting through the house. This year's needy edition to my Diwali boxes are eardrop shaped shortbread biscuits filled with crushed sweets. For added texture I dotted with a gold icing pen.

Chutney and Cheese Stuffed Portabello Mushrooms

Try these easy baked portabello mushrooms.

Simply brush the mushrooms with olive oil, stuff with tomato chutney and top with paneer or feta.
